Company wants to stay abreast with latest developments

The senior management of the packaging machine manufacturing company, Echaar Equipments, will visit the K 2022 show to meet leading industry players and witness the latest technologies in the printing and converting industry, said Kirti Panchal, managing director of the company.

“ As you are aware, we have invested a lot in the flexible packaging printing and converting business. So, we would like to be abreast with the latest developments that are taking place in the industry, and K is the best place for that. A show of this magnitude is happening after a long time as things were disrupted because of Covid,” says Panchal.

“ We were supposed to have our own stall at the show, but we withdrew as we want to first focus on Indian exhibitions such as PlastIndia 2023, which will take place early next year in Delhi. We want to be at global shows such as K when we have a good number of installations here in India. That will give us the confidence to exhibit along with the best in the world.”

Panchal says they will look forward to meeting and recruiting agents at K 2022 who can represent the company in Europe and other parts of the world.

“ Our top management will be at the expo for five days and will meet a variety of people from the industry. Looking for agents who can represent us in various markets of the world would be an important part of the agenda,” Panchal says.

Recently, Echaar held an open house at its Ambernath plant to showcase its latest product – the Flexomaster HR500 CI flexo press. Echaar has collaborated with CT Service SRLS. owned by Claudio Maggio, an ex-founder and director of Uteco.

To offer CI flexo presses to all segments of the flexible packaging market, Echaar has designed and built the Flexosmart CI press for running at 300 meters a minute. The Flexosmart press is nearly ready and will be demonstrated at another open house later this year. In December 2020, it held an open house to demonstrate the Flexodelight HL 400 CI press that was sold and installed at Kalyani Packaging in Kolkata.

Packaging South Asia will participate in K 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 19 to 26 October 2022. Editor Naresh Khanna, Associate Editor Shardul Sharma, European Editor Ron Augustin and contributor Susanne Bluml will cover the event for Packaging South Asia.

The Covid-19 pandemic led to the country-wide lockdown on 25 March 2020. It will be two years tomorrow as I write this. What have we learned in this time? Maybe the meaning of resilience since small companies like us have had to rely on our resources and the forbearance of our employees as we have struggled to produce our trade platforms.

The print and packaging industries have been fortunate, although the commercial printing industry is still to recover. We have learned more about the digital transformation that affects commercial printing and packaging. Ultimately digital will help print grow in a country where we are still far behind in our paper and print consumption and where digital is a leapfrog technology that will only increase the demand for print in the foreseeable future.

Web analytics show that we now have readership in North America and Europe amongst the 90 countries where our five platforms reach. Our traffic which more than doubled in 2020, has at times gone up by another 50% in 2021. And advertising which had fallen to pieces in 2020 and 2021, has started its return since January 2022.

As the economy approaches real growth with unevenness and shortages a given, we are looking forward to the PrintPack India exhibition in Greater Noida. We are again appointed to produce the Show Daily on all five days of the show from 26 to 30 May 2022.
