Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton signed a $103.8 million contract extension on Tuesday, and in the press conference announcing the news described his plans to celebrate: “Pop a couple milk carton bottles. Lucky Charms…Cinnamon Toast Crunch,” Newton said, “then it is time for practice.”

At first this raised our alarm. Was Newton actually planning on mixing these two cereals? The answer to that question, for now, rests only within the confines of Newton’s mind, but we wouldn’t put it past him. Just look at how he ate his cereal in 2007, when he told ESPN that he considered himself a “Lucky Charms connoisseur.”

First milk. Totally normal, even if it is almond milk.

Then extra marshmallows. Totally not normal.

Yes, it’s obviously working for him, but that still seems like a whole lot of processed sugar.
